We went to one of Grammy and Papa’s favorite places to eat, “The Country Neighbor” in Burwell, NE. It was perfect weather, relaxing atmosphere, wonderful food and great company…we had so much fun!
On the way home from Burwell McCoy cried harder and longer than he has in a really long time. We decided to stop in Ericson to see if we could calm him down. The second we took him out of the car seat at Lake Ericson he was happy as could be and LOVED walking around the water…like father, like son!
We have noticed that McCoy is less and less thrilled about his car seat lately. We are planning to transition out of the infant car seat real soon so we hope sitting up a little more will be more entertaining for him.

8/23/09 – I think we will officially say McCoy sat up for the first time today!!! All of a sudden he went from barely staying up for more than a couple of seconds to several minutes at a time. It must have been that fresh, Greeley air :-)
