We were all set to have a little Birthday Party for Dad today, but McCoy woke up from his mid-morning nap SCREAMING!!! That is totally out of character for him. Three hours later, after taking his temperature (normal), a dose of Tylenol, several attempts at feeding him and a couple of short naps, the nurse suggested Urgent Care. Of course we jumped in the car, all of us shedding a few tears on the way!
He fell asleep in the car and woke up calm when I took him out of the car seat to be weighed. McCoy now weighs 13 lb 11 oz. As the Doctor examined him, he laid on the table kicking and practically smiling. His ears were normal, his throat was normal, his chest was clear and his temperature was normal. The only time he cried was when we held him down to look in his ears. Her diagnosis…maybe a little gas due to him not having dirty pants for a day and a half. Since getting home, he has WORKED THE PROBLEM OUT…twice!
He has still had a couple of screaming moments, he doesn't want to eat much and he has slept off and on most of the evening so we are convinced there is still a minor issue of some sort…what do Doctors know, right?!?!
